On a road trip cruising with navigate on Autopilot at 65 mph when got a audio warning of potential collision and bam a giant tumbleweed rolling back and forth on highway. Autopilot did break and moved slightly to the right staying in the lane after the audio warning and then accelerated slowly when the lane was clear. We believe it would have came to a complete stop if the tumbleweed didn’t move to the adjacent lane.
Unfortunately the adjacent vehicle behind us hit it head in and had to pull over from what we saw. Another vehicle pulled over with them I assume to help if needed. Tumbleweed is a desert plant that can cause major damage to your car and can penetrate your plastic bumper at highway speed.
Update to doubters if this was real or not due to audio, we had our front windows slightly cracked is where the noise coming from and and we had to increase the volume in the edits so you can hear the audio warning b/c this dashcam has horrible mic.
