We are chugging along on our journey to build (my version, at least) of ultimate shop cabinets for my small workshop. In this episode we finish the base cabinet bodies, paint the face & sides, as well as mount the top work surfaces. This project is HUGE for my small shop because it is an excellent utilization of space that combines storage and work surface. I urge anyone out there with shop organization issues to think about this type of solution. It is also easy to do! No need to be a trim carpenter to do this - I'm definitely not!
In the next, and final, installment of this build we will build the drawers, the drawer fronts, paint them, and install them! I have a few little surprises up my sleeve as well regarding final touches and details. If you are interested in building cabinets like these in your shop be sure to check out the entire build series! This is by no means the ONLY way to make cabinets but is an approachable method that just about anyone can do. Getting this project checked off the to-do list is going to feel fantastic! It is going to give me so much additional storage and work surface in my shop. All in the perpetual pursuit of SHOP GREATNESS!
