#AskMurph Show Can I Buy A House Without Seeing It?

Can I buy a house without even seeing it?
Well, the answer is yes, You can buy a house without even seeing it. Has it happened with any of my clients? Yes it has happened. And it has actually happened for myself. I buy my own properties as an investor and a developer in the area and I've purchased a property without ever seeing it first.
Now, the catch 22, and this is what I recommend to any one of my clients, is you can buy the property, write the offer, even have the offer accepted, but I would highly recommend that in one way, shape, or form, whether it's you or someone that you know and trust, like a family member, actually see the house first hand during the inspection period.
The Most Critical Time to See the Property First Hand
I always highly recommend an inspection, but when you buy a property without ever seeing it, you're going to want to have someone you know look at the house with their own two eyes during the inspection period because in the state of Minnesota, it’s during that time that you can still get out of the deal if something doesn’t seem right.
In conclusion, can you buy property without ever seeing it? Of course. Should you go through the entire process without seeing it? Absolutely not. Check it out in person, or send someone you trust, during the inspection period.
