This patient does not have very thick, difficult nails, but still needs care because she is diabetic and unable to see her feet. If a Diabetic patient trims to deeply, and causes bleeding, they can become infected and this can become an emergency. Therefore, many diabetic patients see a podiatrist every 2-3 months for help with their nails.
