Centre approves amendments to POCSO Act, death sentence provision included

The centre has approved amendments to the POCSO Act. The provision for a death sentence under the POCSO Act has now been approved. This has been decided by the Cabinet to ensure punishment against sexual acts against children be treated even more stringently.
