This is the bewildering moment a police car escorts a 5mph mobility scooter along a 70mph dual carriageway.Footage, captured by Cameron Grenter, 25, from Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent, Wales, and his brother-in-law Courtney Morgan, also 25, shows the police car slowly follow the mini-convoy as it trundles through south Wales.The bizarre scene was spotted on the A470 between Abercynon and Pentrebach on January 10.   During the clip, Mr Grenter and his brother-in-law are heard laughing as they spot the mini-convoy driving along the dual carriageway.Before the scooter comes into view, one of the startled men is heard saying:'Oh yeah, like someone on a mobility scooter like.' Share this article Share As the men approach the scooter, a police car's lights can be seen flashing and blocking off the left-hand lane.   Mr Grenter and his brother-in-law then roll down the car window and shout 'All right, drive' to the the bemused-looking scooter driver.    Mr Grenter later posted the video on Facebook with the caption: 'High speed pursuit on the A470 guys.' A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: 'We received reports of a mobility scooter being driven on the A470 on the afternoon of Thursday, January 10th. 'Officers located the scooter and its driver on the northbound carriageway between Abercynon and Pentrebach. 'The man was escorted along the carriageway by a police vehicle to the Pentrebach exit in order to ensure his safety and that of other motorists.'
