Scientists in the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have proposed a programme for ISRO’s outreach to students with the motive of providing the students practical experience of building satellites and to inculcate in them the scientific knowledge. Announcing the programme in a press briefing, ISRO chief K Sivan said, “ISRO has proposed Young Scientists program under which three students from each state and Union Territories will be selected for the programme for about one month. They will be taught and given access to research and development labs giving them practical experience in building satellites.”
