Iwobi makes big Cech claim following goalkeeper's decision to retire

Alex Iwobi has claimed that Petr Cech could have played on for another "three or four years" following his decision to retire at the end of the season.  The ex-Chelsea man has lost his place in the team this campaign to Bernd Leno and last featured in the Premier League during September's win over Watford.  Cech has played in a further five games for the Gunners since then in cup competitions but it appears he has a lot to do if he is to win back his place in the team from the summer signing.  Out of contract in the summer with his deal set to run out, many were unsure over what would happen with the 36-year-old come May.    However, he announced at the start of the week that he would call time on his successful career.  The announcement certainly came as a shock to Arsenal fans and Iwobi himself was also taken aback.  "I was [surprised] because he always looks good in training and every time he plays in a match," Iwobi told Sky Sports News.  "When he announced he was retiring I was like 'wow, you could have another three or four years the way that you're playing'.  "But we have to respect his decision and we'll have to do our best to make sure he ends his career on a high."
