Lady Jaina Proudmoore boss guide for the Battle of Dazar'Alor 8.1 raid. This is a normal and heroic difficulty Lady Jaina Proudmoore BfA boss guide. This Jaina boss guide will show you the Jaina abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Jaina fight. Mythic Jaina has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Jaina guide. Footage of Jaina for this boss guide is from PTR raid testing, in which my group did not see every phase. Diagrams have been animated in to demonstrate the basics of how the later phase Jaina boss abilities work.
The Battle for Dazar'Alor Jaina boss fight is the final boss of the Battle of Dazar'Alor raid, and the final Horde story encounter. Alliance players will find themselves race changed into Horde races for this fight. It's the longest and most complex boss fight in the Battle of Dazar'Alor raid. The BfA Jaina Boss has three phases, broken up by two intermissions.
In the first phase of the Lady Jaina Proudmoore raid boss fight, you battle Jaina on a ship. You'll be fighting off adds, tossing explosive barrels off the edge and trying to maintain a balance between a boat that's frozen and a boat that's on fire. This phase lasts until Jaina reaches 60% health.
The first intermission is about finding Jaina and kicking her through limited visibility and while dodging dangerous tornadoes and ice shards. When Jaina's found and kicked, Phase Two begins. In Phase Two, you fight Jaina down to 40% while dealing with a large array of ice-themed boss mechanics. The Jaina boss fight in Battle of Dazar'Alor has so many differente mechanics that I go through them pretty quickly in this Jaina raid boss guide video in order to keep the overall length down.
At 40%, Jaina starts spreading deadly ice with Flash Freeze. The raid needs to pop Bloodlust and other cooldowns to break through an Ice Wall where they deal with Jaina's Tide Elemental add. Kill the Tide Elemental (I'm assuming) to resume the fight and enter the third and final phase, which is just Phase Two but with more Ice-flavoured madness.
