The sanctity of marriage. Marriage is a reflection of Christ's relationship to His Church. The world attacks the covenant of marriage because of it's sacred importance to the Christian faith.
Adultery in scripture applies both to marriage as well as forsaking the Lord and being conformed to this world, being joined with idols and false religions.
