Affordable Iron: CAP Barbell Weight Plates Review

You’re looking for inexpensive plates, but you can’t find the right size at your local Walmart. Fortunately I found CAP plates are running the cheapest per pound on Amazon. So now you can just order the obscure size that you need and have it delivered straight to your door. I was able to get a set of the very tiny (2.5 lb) and very large (45 lb) plates. These plates are Olympic sized which means they fit on a 2-inch barbell sleeve. I have some old CAP dumbbells that appear to use the same coating. That coating has held up a long time under harsh conditions. So I expect these plates to survive the test of time. These were extremely cheap so I don’t expect the weights to be calibrated accurately—but that’s not what I bought them for. I bought them as an inexpensive way to get stronger. And they perform that job well. So for anyone who wants to start lifting and budget is a priority I would recommend these plates.
