Just hours before my trip to meet Khaled Mashaal, member of Hamas Politbureau in Doha, the Russian friends of RenTV suddenly and urgently asked for my statement on the INF treaty.
Is it possible to say that the world has awakened in another, more dangerous reality?
Yes. It is also possible to say, that after the downfall of the Soviet Union, western aggression against Russia has continued with little time lost. The latest turn of the screw is the one-sided break of the INF treaty. It would have been possible to enhance and renew it, instead of destroying the achievement, but, once more, Washington preferred the more aggressive way. We also have the problem, that Washington’s imperialist doctrine of “full spectrum dominance” is outdated and needs replacement, e.g. by “full spectrum defense”: a strategy of the firm ability to deter, without the need to be stronger than all other combined. But the powers are aggressive
Do people of the EU feel a threat of Russian missiles, that would be deployed in face of US missiles in Europe? .
European people feel a threat of an escalation. What hey would like to hear is progress in multinational talks on the matter including all powers with INF weapons, so: including China. Problem is, that the real powers want conflict and chaos, mutually assured destruction, this time they want many people dead – instead of a clear victory of one side. The “powers” are the same type who financed Hitler and the Nazis into power with hundreds of millions of Reichsmark...
How much do European politicians understand that European countries have become hostage to this situation?
Problem is: more than 90% of them do understand, but they are too corrupt or too weak to resist – and to dare to take the new way of refusing escalation and war – as can be seen from the nonsense in Ukraine, Crimea, the Skripal case – and many others.
