Ipswich Town boss Paul Lambert was sent off following a confrontation with Norwich City backroom staff as tempers flared during Sunday's Old Farm clash.Norwich coach Chris Domogalla, their Head of Performance, was also sent off after a touchline confrontation that continued down the tunnel. Lambert was enraged by the response of the Norwich backroom staff to a rash challenge by Ipswich midfielder Jon Nolan on Max Aarons, and the Scot had to be pulled away by stewards and the police. Ipswich Town boss Paul Lambert was sent off after a touchline flare-up at Carrow Road The feisty Old Farm clash between Ipswich and Norwich erupted just before half-time A foul by Ipswich midfielder Jon Nolan on Max Aarons angered the Norwich bench Lambert was enraged by their reaction and confronted Norwich coach Chris Domogalla Lambert poked his chest before turning to Norwich goalkeeping coach Ed Wooten Wooten and Lambert appeared to square up but stewards and a police officer intervene Lambert was dragged away from the melee by a police officer based near the touchline The officer tried to calm Lambert down, before referee Peter Bankes sent him off Domogalla looked perplexed when he too was shown a straight red card by the official The confrontation was not over yet however as the two exited the field at the same time Lambert angrily shouted and pointed at Domogalla as the two passed each other in the tunnel As the confrontation unfolded, Daniel Farke was spotted by the cameras winking to someone The timing was highly ironic as moments later his opposite number was dismissed The trouble kicked off in stoppage time of the first half when midfielder Nolan made a lunging and late challenge on Norwich right-back Aarons.The 19-year-old was sent flying and the Norwich bench erupted, while the players came together.But as things appeared to calm down on the pitch, Norwich coach Domogalla went over to Lambert's assistant Stuart Taylor, who was talking to fourth official Andy Woolmer. Lambert then emerged on the scene to confront the Head of Performance coach. The two exchanged words while Lambert poked him in the chest. The Scot then turned to Norwich goalkeeping coach Ed Wooten, who was also on the scene. Tensions flared and the two appeared to square up to each other.Stewards and the police were on hand to separate the touchline contingent, while players stormed over to intervene. Ipswich captain Luke Chambers pushed Wooten away, while a police officer took Lambert aside to calm him down. Meanwhile, the camera turned to Norwich coach Daniel Farke, who, while sat on the bench, appeared to wink at someone out of sight. Referee Peter Bankes, after consulting Woolmer, decided to send off Domogalla first, who looked perplexed by the incident.
