This is step one of getting a reliable head turn leave it. Place a treat right in front of your dog’s nose and turn his head to your knee. Once your dog’s head is turned into you, give him the treat. Then repeat. Please note I am not giving any commands yet. You want to get the mechanics of this technique down before you add a cue.
