This piece is about memory. I am writing, but nothing shows on paper. The three types of writing utensils represent the different stages of life: the past, present, and future. In this piece, I want to criticize the Chinese education system that requires students to recite information but is never concerned whether they really understand the content. I used the audio of my interviews with students who've studied under this system for the video. Most of them can't remember what they learned.
