Healthcare Support Workers are helping general practice provide more services to their patients by freeing up the time of nurses and GPs.
They take on less complex, but important, tasks such as blood samples and blood pressure checks that have traditionally been performed by nurses. They also work alongside GPs so that GPs can spend more time focusing on the needs of their patients, and less time on administration and paperwork.
