YouTube Is Broken: Copyright Claim System Abused In Extortion Attempt

YouTube is broken. You can lay claim to anybody's videos you like, and repercussions for fraudulent copyright claims are thin on the ground. It's shocking extortion wasn't attempted sooner.

Two channels had videos returned to them after someone attempt to extort money from them. Meanwhile, YouTube's system remains open to any similar fraud, because YouTube is broken.
