Adolescent Male Gorilla Encounter in Bwindi's Impenetrable Forest

Adolescent Male Gorilla Encounter in Bwindi's Impenetrable Forest Gorillas are conscious, sentient beings, highly intelligent. They live in full integration with nature and their communities. As distant cousins, humans, and gorillas have habituated well. They will still show you how much distance they are comfortable with. This was one incredible encounter I had with an adolescent male. The habitats and troop behavior of the mountain gorillas in Uganda's Bwindi impenetrable forest and Virunga Volcanoes in Rwanda are unique and very dense.
The conservation effort of the mountain gorilla has markedly improved the last two decades.
"The population of mountain gorillas in the Virunga Volcanoes has more than doubled in the past three decades, despite intensive threats of poaching, habitat degradation, and civil conflict" - Martha Robbins, at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology.
