Malindi lawmaker Aisha Jumwa has threatened to move to court to challenge a decision by the ODM party to expel her from the party. Jumwa will be seeking the court to quash the decision which she claims disregarded for the law and a clear manifest of double standards, claiming her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori was favored.
The two were to be expelled over their ties to deputy president William Ruto of Jubilee party against the party constitution.
The party accused them of advancing the interests of another party by openly campaigning for the DP, to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta when he retires in 2022 yet they belonged to ODM party.
However, a section of ODM supporters from the area supported the party's decision.
