Inov-8 ArcticClaw 300 Ice Test: Inov-8 ArcticClaw 300 is my first running shoe with microspikes embedded into the outsole, specifically right on the lugs. These very tungsten carbide microspikes in the inov-8 arcticclaw 300 running shoe are proving to be invaluable for some of these high altitude running experiences in Colorado. The Inov-8 line up of running shoes is overall positive thus far, with one slight drawback. The toebox on the inov-8 arcticclaw 300 is getting pretty wet from the snow and ice, more so than expected. In addition, the landing area inside the Inov-8 arcticclaw 300 is pretty wide in my opinion. I often prefer a more narrow fit, but not with this shoe, it feels wide on the landing platform. Overall I am pleased thus far with the ride and the performance of the microspikes on the ice and snow in the inov-8 arcticclaw 300, stay tuned for the full review of this shoe after 50 miles.
