Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe The District of Columbia Court holds a status hearing in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, February 26, after which it will schedule a sentencing date for Maria Butina, who is charged with acting as an unregistered foreign agent of Russia in the US.
Butina, a former student at American University and a gun rights activist, pled guilty in December to conspiring to act as an agent for the Kremlin without registering in the US. She was the first Russian to be convicted of working to influence US policy during the 2016 presidential race.
