- Where are you from?
I was born in London, where I spent most of my childhood, finishing my studies in Munich, Germany and have been living in central Europe ever since. However, travelling has always been my passion and I spent many years backpacking around the world to see and learn about other cultures.
- How many languages do you speak?
English and Italian are both my native languages as I grew up bilingual, but I also speak fluent German and French, getting by with conversational Spanish.
- Which camera do you use?
For the moment I mainly use my Samsung A3 phone as I usually record on-the-go but I’m considering using my Nikon for studio recordings and updating my tablet or mobile for on-the-go recordings.
- Which microphone do you use?
For the moment I’m using my iPhone pod microphone which I clip onto my lapel.
- Which editing software do you use?
I use iMovie.
- Which grammar book do you recommend?
I recommend English Grammar in Use at various levels: If you can understand my videos INTERMEDIATE LEVEL is the one you’re looking for.
- Can you recommend any books that will help me improve my English?
I usually recommend reading and listening to FREE audio-books from the website: ENGLISH E-BOOKS which are
GRADED READER EBOOKS – the BEST CHOICE TO LEARN ENGLISH. You can DOWNLOAD OR READ ONLINE FOR FREE!
They are all different levels and they are read by actors, often with exciting background music. It’s good to sometimes stop and repeat sentences with the same expression as the actors.
- Can you recommend a British TV Series for me to watch and improve my British English pronunciation?
I absolutely recommend 'Broadchurch' ( which is an excellent British television crime drama about the death of an 11-year-old boy and the impact the town in the south of England. It has won many awards.
