Is it better to trade in only one market and specialize in that market, or to trade in multiple markets?
Should you specialise in a particular market for more opportunity? Perhaps even an obscure market that doesn't get that much attention? Like smaller stocks or some of the exotic currency pairs or even unusual commodities like cotton. For me over my career my most profitable markets were crude oil and the DAX. However, there were times when i focused on obscure markets and it worked good for me for a number of months. The yes argument is that sometimes you will spot opportunities in those markets that other people are missing because they aren't getting that much attention. In certain ways these markets can be easier to predict.
