Four U.S tourists and their Kenyan pilot perished after the helicopter they were flying in crashed in Turkana county. According to police reports, the pilot who has been identified as Captain Mario Magonga, was flying the tourists from Central Island National Park in Lake Turkana, when the chopper went down at about 8PM on Sunday.
Police say the chopper went off the radar shortly after take-off and the wreckage was located at around 4AM on Monday together with the 5 bodies.
Captain Magonga was a former Kenya Defence Forces pilot and was working with KIDL helicopters based at the Wilson Airport.
