When UX designers think of accessible design, we often think of color contrast ratios, alt tags, or video captions. Of course those are essential to allow the widest audience to access our designs, but one thing we may not consider is the accessibility of our writing.
Plain language benefits those who have learning or cognitive disabilities. It helps people who don't speak a language natively. It also helps anyone who's just in a hurry to understand something.
This talk will introduce accessible language, and will offer tips and techniques for making your writing more accessible to all.
