World Tuberculosis Day to be observed today with ‘It’s Time’ theme

World Tuberculosis Day is designed to build public awareness about the global epidemic of tuberculosis (TB) and efforts to eliminate the disease. The theme of this year’s World TB Day is ‘It’s Time’. It means ‘It’s time’ to keep the promises made at the UN High-Level meeting on TB. ‘It’s Time’ for a world without TB. ‘It’s Time’ to treat 40 million people affected by TB by 2022. ‘It’s Time’ to know your TB status. World TB Day is one of eight official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organization (WHO).
