According to Mother Nature Network, the number of amphibian species around the world has declined. They have faced a decline due to habitat loss, invasive species, herbicides and general pollution. A decline in amphibian diversity can cause a major decline in the health and sustainability of ecosystems as a whole. If an entire ecosystem begins to break down, the quality of human life will also deteriorate. Amphibians helps in other ways as well, such as pest control, water filtration and medical research.
