Have you ever wondered how to have the blessings of God on your life? Or do you wonder why things aren't going right in your life? The reason is because God can't bless an individual or a body of people who are polluted by the world and worldly things.
God demands sanctification or holiness for His people.
The Bible says in Heb. 12:14, "Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:" So without this sanctification no man shall see the Lord. That's a powerful statement!
This is contrary to a lot of people's doctrine, but it's the Word of God.
The good news is that we have access to grace through faith. We can believe that the Lord has given us this sanctification or holiness because of His promises. And if we walk in repentance and faith, the Lord will account it to us as righteousness.
But, if we walk in rebellion and self-will the Lord's chastening will be upon us and there is no safety for us.
God wants us to separate ourselves from the leaven of wicked people, even if they call themselves Christian. We must do this if we want to be blessed by God.
Eph. 5:11 says, "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;"
1 Co. 5:11 says, "But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat."
