Excel Formulas में बहुत जयादा काम आने वाली ये Magical Trick ( Asterisk ) कमाल की है You can use wildcard characters in Excel formulas for partial matches. all the formulas like VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, averageif, find, search, hlookup etc take a criteria to work with data and these formulas work only if the criteria is matching in data. if we dont want to give full criteria... we just want to set a specific part of criteria in all of these formulas then asterisk wildcard is used.

this video tutorial shows 5 different examples of using asterisk wildcard characters in formulas. These include VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, averageif,find search,hlookup etc. and also how to use the wildcards in a find and replace.

There are three wildcard characters in Excel. The asterisk '*', question mark '?' and the tilde '~'. This video covers just the asterisk.
