Yesterday's stream with the Borderlands Game Of The Year Enhanced release was plagued with issues from start to finish. Quite a few in our own community asking for help, so here's a quickie to aid those in need. Information for quick fixes said will be reiterated below. (Only for those running on Steam)
Getting the GOTY Enhanced to download (current workaround)
Paste into browser URL to kick Steam Bootstrapper into gear. If you're able to download it, it'll initialize.
Latency issues for multiplayer (fixes)
If you're not using the ingame voice but it won't save settings and turn off,
Find your WillowEngine.ini
(Mine was in C:/Users/Nate/Documents/My Games/Borderlands:Game Of The Year/WillowGame)
Ctrl + F to open search, find 'has' to find bHasVoiceEnabled=True and switch it over to bHasVoiceEnabled=False
Save and exit. Muting doesn't stop the voice from transmitting if it's still on. Save the packets.
Hopefully this helps those in the community looking for easy fixes for a couple issues. Here's hoping some of the worse issues people are facing (like the game not saving sessions) are fixed in the near future.
