But some areas in the UK will bask in the spring sunshine. However large parts of Scotland will be cloudy, threatening to keep temperatures in the low teens Celsius or as low as 10C (50F). Low cloud will “lift” about 10am, Mr McGivern explained. He said: “And then we are looking at sunny spells.” The bright conditions will stretch “all the way from northern England and Wales to southern England”, according to the Met Office forecast. He said: “Where we get sunshine 15 to 17 degrees typically. “Where we keep the cloud cover and there will be a lot about for the north west of Scotland in particular, we are looking at low teens 11 or 12.” Friday will be largely cloudy through Scotland and Northern Ireland with a “foggy start” for parts of south west England, central southern England parts of Wales and the Midlands.
