Re:Generate - Party with a Purpose

Re:Generate - Party with a Purpose Regeneration - Community - BASS - Connection - Celebration - Impact - Nature

Why
We all seek a lost connection - to ourselves, to each other, and to the ecology which supports us. The behaviour associated with this disconnection has caused the living systems of the planet to begin sending feedback loops - ecological invoices for the true cost of 'progress'.

What
Re:Generate seeks to create a scalable and replicable model for regenerating degenerated social and ecological systems. Achieving this by activating temporary communities (such as music festivals or retreats) and dedicating them to impact-driven projects.

How
Re:Generate reconnects us with our taiao (environment) by carrying out work that restores, re-wilds and regenerates. We do this for our love for nature, not out of fear of what we stand to lose. When humans collaborate, we experience connection. When we are in competition, we experience separation. Working together with a shared purpose of planetary care awakens our innate sense of fascination, stewardship and belonging on this planet once again. Re:Generate seeks to create a new identity of people and place.

Kaitiakitanga
Guardianship and protection, active environmental stewardship.
Whanaungatanga
Relationship, sense of connection and belonging. Community.
Kotahitanga
Unity, solidarity, support. Collective action.

We make this new identity real by including self expression - shared meals, music, movement, art and other methods of weaving socio-cultural fabric. By working together on the land and celebrating our purpose with a party, we embody our lessons, strengthen our relationships and ground our purpose as guardians of this land into existence.

Who
The Re:Generate team varies from event managers and DJs, water and soil scientists, environmental activists and community builders. We care about the future, and get shit done.

When
The International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report estimates that our climate has between 12 and 20 years before a tipping point of no return is reached. The solution we are developing has huge potential for mitigating atmospheric CO2 levels, while also adapting to new lifestyles necessary to live in an uncertain future.

If we wish for our grandchildren to breathe on this planet, the time to act is now.
