When I got the call to be on Allstars I was very hesitant due to the fear of being brought back to a dark time when I was insecure, unsure and not happy. However, I decided to take the risk and made a conscious decision to do it for my community. I'm grateful for this experience and feel completely honored to be the first openly trans woman to be on this show in which has great influence in today's world. I thank you all for challenging me in continuing to use my platform to inspire the world to be themselves but more importantly show you who Gia Ichikawa versus Gia Gunn is. As a trans woman I had to build this wall between the 2 in order to gain clarity and realize my TV Drag personality is very different from who I have grown to become. I do not regret anything as I find it all very funny, playful and super entertaining. However, there are always 2 sides to every story and here is just the beginning of mine. You can expect to hear the rest in the book that I am currently writing! To all my supporters and loved ones, thank you from the bottom of my heart for never judging me and providing me with unconditional love throughout my journey. I love you all!
xoxo
Gia
